Message from Dean

It gives me immense pleasure, great satisfaction and honour to work in this Postgraduate Medical Institute of Medical Science, Rohtak, a prestigious and premier Medical teaching Institute of India to which I am serving for last 32 years. This institute has renowned faculty, plenty of clinical material and good infrasture which is a basic requirement for making a good doctor. Beside this, In this Institution the students are also encouraged to put in their concentrated efforts in hard work, sincerity, dedications, punctuality and honesty in their profession. Besides acquiring scientific knowledge, technical and communication skills, students are trained in professional skills and research work. They are also expected to respect and follow the Hippocratic Oath. It is expected that our students are turn out as good human beings befitting medical profession i.e. they should have the sanctity of noble profession and always have consoling and sympathetic attitude towards their patients.

The students of this institute already have a global presence and I wish that our students abroad should make positive contribution for the development of their parent institution. I am reminded of the word of Kennedy “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country”. I do hope that each one of our student and faculty bears such attitude towards the institution.

I am sure that by our mutual interactions we shall jointly take positive effort to take our institute to further new heights. I convey my best wishes to all my dear students, all faculty & staff of the institution.
